ItemShop v2 provides storefront infrastructure and technical integrations. You contract directly with your chosen payment provider, which settles and pays out the funds — ItemShop does not do so.
This page describes product behaviour; it is not legal or tax advice. Requirements vary by country, merchant age, sales volume, product type, and the provider’s current terms.
Before enabling payments
Confirm directly with the selected provider:
- whether it can contract with you and which identity checks it requires;
- whether a registered business or guardian consent is required;
- which products and server types it permits;
- which merchant details, legal documents, contact information, and complaint terms you must publish;
- applicable fees, reserves, chargebacks, and payout timing;
- whether your account has the channels, currencies, and sandbox access needed by your shop.
ItemShop does not bypass provider requirements and cannot confirm that a particular business model is lawful or accepted. If in doubt, consult an accountant or legal adviser familiar with your jurisdiction.
Merchant responsibility
The shop owner is responsible for accurate merchant details, terms, privacy information, price and tax disclosures, complaint handling, and ensuring that sold content complies with the law and the provider’s terms. Checkout remains blocked until the shop’s required legal documents are available.
Payouts
ItemShop v2 does not maintain a merchant sales wallet or pay out shop owners. Player payments go to the merchant’s account at the configured provider, which makes payouts under its own agreement and schedule.
