# Team and account

> Invite collaborators with exactly the permissions they need, and secure your own account.

The team feature lets other people access your shop panel without sharing your password. Each collaborator logs in with their own account and sees only what you allow — and you can change or revoke that at any time.

## Roles

When inviting someone you pick a ready-made permission template, then fine-tune it if needed.

| Template | What they can do |
| - | - |
| **View only** | view the shop, products, orders and statistics — no changes |
| **Support** | handle orders and player data; no editing of the offer |
| **Sales and orders** | manage products, orders, discount codes and vouchers; no shop settings |
| **Administration** | manage the whole shop, including payments and the team — except deleting the shop and owner-only decisions |
| **Full access** | every permission available to a team member |
| **Custom** | start from scratch and select permissions yourself |

Exact permissions are set in a table: each area of the shop (e.g. Products, Orders, Payments, Statistics) has **read**, **write**, **delete** and **manage** (all three at once). The "This person will be able to" summary explains in plain language what the invitee gets — read it before sending the invite.

> [!NOTE]
>
> A person who manages the team can only grant others permissions they have themselves. The owner role can't be given to anyone.

## Invite someone

**1. Create an invite link**

Choose a permission template, how long the link is valid (24 hours, 7 days, 30 days or no limit) and how many times it can be used (1, 5, 10, 25 or no limit).

**2. Send the link**

Copy the link and send it via Discord, a messenger or email. You can have several links with different permissions — e.g. one for support staff and another for observers.

**3. Approve the request**

The invitee logs in (or creates an account) and sends a **join request**. They only get into the panel once you approve it. Reject requests from people you didn't invite.

Example of a safe invite for a new helper: **Support** template, valid for **24 hours**, **1 use**. Once the person joins, the link stops working on its own.

> [!WARNING]
>
> If a link ended up in the wrong hands (e.g. on a public channel), delete it right away — it stops working immediately. You can still invite by account email too, but links are more convenient.

## Manage your team

* **Edit** — change the template or individual permissions; changes take effect immediately.
* **Remove** — revokes the person's access to the shop. Do this when someone stops working with you.
* The **owner** (the person who created the shop) always has full access — it can't be restricted, and the owner can't be removed from the team. Only the owner can delete the shop.

Only the owner and people with team-management permission can invite, approve requests and edit members. Grant as little as needed: **Full access** and **Administration** allow changing payment details and shop settings.

## Your account

Your account is you — one person who can own several shops and belong to other shops' teams. You switch between shops without logging in again.

| Setting | Good to know |
| - | - |
| Profile | display name and avatar (without an avatar, one is generated from your initials) — visible to your team |
| Sign-in | password, email link, or Google or Discord; you can use several methods at once |
| Email change | takes effect only after you click the link sent to the new address |
| Two-factor authentication (2FA) | a code from an authenticator app at sign-in; you get backup codes when turning it on |
| Activity | history of sign-ins and changes with IP address and device |

> [!TIP]
>
> Turn on 2FA and keep your backup codes away from your phone. Before disconnecting Google or Discord, make sure you have another working sign-in method. If your activity shows a sign-in from an unknown place, change your password right away.

A Premium plan is bought separately for each shop, in that shop's Premium section. It's a fee for the ItemShop service — unrelated to the money players pay for your products (that goes to your payment provider).
