# Servers

> Connect your Minecraft servers to your shop and assign products to them.

In the **Servers** tab you manage all the Minecraft servers tied to your shop. This is where you add the servers on which players redeem the items they buy, set their options, and arrange them the way you want them shown.

## Why you add servers

Every product in your shop is assigned to a specific server. That way, when a player buys something, the shop knows which server the purchase should be delivered on. A special add-on (a plugin) that you install on your server connects to the shop and fills orders automatically — it hands players their items, ranks, or other rewards without any work on your part.

<Note>
  Before you start adding products, it's worth adding at least one server first. Without a server there's nothing to assign the items you sell to.
</Note>

## What the list looks like

Servers are shown as a list of cards — each server is its own row. On a card you can see:

* the server's **name**,
* the **Minecraft version** (if you entered one),
* the **number of players online** (e.g. `12/100`), as long as the server shares it,
* the **status** — a colored badge reading "Active" or "Disabled",
* the **edit** (pencil) and **delete** (trash) buttons.

The number next to the word **Servers** in the menu shows how many servers you currently have added, so you know how many there are at a glance.

<Tip>
  You can freely drag the cards by the handle (⠿) on the left to change their order. Put your most important or most popular server at the top so it stands out the most. The drag handle appears once you have more than one server.
</Tip>

<Note>
  If you don't have any servers yet, you'll see a simple message inviting you to add your first Minecraft server. That's the normal view at the very start — just click to add a server to get going.
</Note>

## Adding a server

You can add a new server in two convenient ways — both ask for the same details, so pick whichever suits you better:

<Columns cols={2}>
  <Card title="Step-by-step wizard" icon="wand-sparkles">
    It guides you stage by stage: **Basics → Description → Features → Summary**. At the end you'll see a clear summary of all your settings before anything is saved. Perfect when you're adding a server for the first time.
  </Card>

  <Card title="Classic form" icon="list">
    All the fields on a single screen, grouped into the **Basic**, **Description**, and **Features** sections. Faster once you already know what goes where.
  </Card>
</Columns>

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open the Servers tab">
    In the panel menu, click **Servers**. You'll see a list of cards with the servers you've already added (if you have any).
  </Step>

  <Step title="Click to add a new server">
    Choose the option to add a server. A wizard or a form with fields to fill in will open.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Enter the server name">
    This is the name you'll recognize the server by in the panel, e.g. "Survival" or "SkyBlock". It should be short and clear. This is the only **required** field — without it you can't save the server.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Enter the server address (optional)">
    Type the address players use to connect to the server, e.g. `play.your-shop.com`. This field is **optional** — you can leave it blank. If you do fill it in, it has to be in a valid address format (e.g. `play.your-shop.com`).
  </Step>

  <Step title="Enter the Minecraft version (optional)">
    Type the game version your server supports, e.g. `1.21`. This helps players pick the right client version, and in the panel you can see at a glance which version each server runs on.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Add a description (optional)">
    Briefly describe what the server is or what makes it stand out. A description helps you tell your servers apart once you have several.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Set the server features">
    Turn the toggles on or off: vouchers, discount codes, and require player online (described below). You can leave the defaults and change them later.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Save">
    Confirm the wizard or form. In the wizard you'll first see a **Summary** with the name, address, version, and the features you enabled. The new server will appear as another card in the list, and you'll see a short "Server added" message.
  </Step>
</Steps>

## What each field means

<Columns cols={2}>
  <Card title="Name (required)">
    The server name shown in the panel and in the shop. It makes it easier to find the right server when assigning products. Up to 100 characters.
  </Card>

  <Card title="Server address (optional)">
    The address players use to connect to the server, e.g. `play.your-shop.com`. You can skip it. If you do enter it, it must be in a valid address format.
  </Card>

  <Card title="Minecraft version (optional)">
    The game version your server supports, e.g. `1.21`. It helps players pick the right client and keeps your servers tidy in the panel.
  </Card>

  <Card title="Description (optional)">
    Extra information about the server. It helps you tell servers apart and keep them organized in the panel. Up to 1000 characters.
  </Card>
</Columns>

## Server features (toggles)

In the **Features** section you decide which options are available for orders placed on a given server. Each feature is a simple toggle — on or off.

<Columns cols={2}>
  <Card title="Allow vouchers" icon="ticket">
    When you turn this on, players can redeem **vouchers** on purchases directed to this server. Turn it off if you don't want to honor vouchers on a given server.
  </Card>

  <Card title="Allow discount codes" icon="percent">
    Lets players use **discount codes** on orders from this server. Turn it off if discounts shouldn't apply on a given server.
  </Card>

  <Card title="Require player online" icon="user-check">
    Purchase commands run **only when the player is currently on the server**. Handy when a reward has to reach a player who's in the game. If you turn this off, the purchase is fulfilled even when the player is offline (as long as your server supports that).
  </Card>
</Columns>

<Tip>
  Vouchers and discount codes are set separately for each server. That way you can, for example, allow discounts on your Survival server and turn them off on another mode. If discounts "aren't working" on a particular server, check these toggles first.
</Tip>

## Server status: Active or Disabled

Every server card carries a status badge:

<Columns cols={2}>
  <Card title="Active">
    The server is on and normally handles the products and orders assigned to it.
  </Card>

  <Card title="Disabled">
    The server is marked as inactive. Use this state when the server is temporarily down or under construction and you don't want new orders going to it.
  </Card>
</Columns>

## Number of players online

If the server shares it, its card shows a player counter in the `online/max` format, e.g. `12/100`. It's a handy "live" preview that shows how many players are currently on the server. If the counter doesn't appear, it simply means that server doesn't report this information — it has no effect on how the shop works or on order fulfillment.

## Editing and deleting a server

<Steps>
  <Step title="Editing">
    On the server card, click the **pencil** icon. The same set of fields you used when adding it will open — change whatever you need and save your changes. You'll see a "Server updated" message.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Deleting">
    Click the **trash** icon. A confirmation prompt appears ("Delete server?"). Once you confirm, the server is **permanently removed** from the list.
  </Step>
</Steps>

<Warning>
  Deleting a server can't be undone. Before you delete a server, make sure you don't have active products on it that would otherwise have nowhere to be fulfilled. It's safer to first move the products to another server or mark the server as **Disabled**.
</Warning>

<Note>
  Adding, editing, and deleting servers depend on your permissions. If you work in a team with a limited role, some buttons (e.g. edit or delete) may not be visible to you. If you need them, ask the shop owner to grant you the right permissions.
</Note>

## Assigning products to a server

Once you've added a server, you can direct sales to it. When you create or edit a product, you choose which server it should go to. That way the purchase is fulfilled exactly where the player expects it.

<Warning>
  If you enter a server address, make sure it's typed correctly. A wrong address can stop the plugin from connecting to the server, and orders won't be fulfilled.
</Warning>

<Tip>
  Have several servers (e.g. Survival and SkyBlock)? Add each of them separately and assign products to the right server. Players will buy exactly what works on their favorite game mode.
</Tip>

## Best practices

<Tip>
  * **A clear name** — name the server the way players call it (e.g. "Survival", "SkyBlock"), so it's easy to assign products to it.
  * **Check the address** — if you enter one, type exactly the same address players use in the game.
  * **Features per game mode** — turn on vouchers and discount codes only where they should really apply.
  * **Server first, products next** — add the server before you start creating products, so there's something to assign them to.
  * **Tidy up the order** — drag your most important server to the top of the list.
  * **Disable instead of deleting** — when a server is temporarily unavailable, set it to "Disabled" rather than deleting it. That way it's easy to bring back.
</Tip>
